NEW WEBSITE NOW BEING BUILT FOR JUNE/JULY 2016.
Monica is a designer based in Bristol, UK.
Her background is in
graphic design and she completed a Masters in Design from Northumbria
University, Newcastle upon Tyne in 2015. Throughout the Master's, her
projects focused on biomimicry, trends and campaigns to alter the
perception of cycling safety clothing. In Newcastle, she worked for
design studios Supanaught and Warm Design.
Her aim as a designer
is to inspire others to use their skills to do good in the world. She
also believes that play and interaction is an important part of the
design process and thinks it's all getting a little bit too serious.
Monica has also set up
Jelly, a clothing brand for those that love
symmetry and patterns . The first collection was inspired by
the Ancient Egyptian canopic jars and £1 per t-shirt is donated to
the Worldwide Fund For Nature.
Monica's online
portfolio includes concepts and research from projects as she
believes it's important for designers to share more than just
finished artefacts.
